Single-Vehicle Crash near Picketts Junction Left 33-Year-Old Woman Dead
SIERRA NEVADA, CA (November 17, 2022) – Early Monday morning, a solo-car crash on Highway 89 claimed the life of Noelle Elizabeth Rivera and left two other children injured.
The fatality occurred shortly before 4:30 a.m. in the Sierra Nevada near Picketts Junction.
According to the investigators, a 2019 Hyundai sedan going southbound west off the road crashed into a small boulder. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear.
Tragically, responders declared the 33-year-old driver, Rivera of Fair Oaks, dead at the scene.
Responding medical personnel airlifted a 9-year-old and 7-year-old child to Reno Hospital with moderate to significant injuries.
No further details regarding the Highway 89 single-vehicle crash have been released to the public. The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
