Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision near Atherwood Avenue
SIMI VALLEY, CA (November 17, 2022) – Tuesday evening, one man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Alamo Street.
The incident occurred around 5:34 p.m., at the 2300 block of Alamo Street near Atherwood Avenue.
According to Simi Valley police, the driver of a Ford F-150 pickup-truck hit a pedestrian that was crossing the street near a marked crosswalk.
Responding officials declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. Authorities only described the deceased victim as a 70-year-old Simi Valley resident.
Meanwhile, the Ford driver, described as a man in his 50s, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Following the collision, officials closed the stretch of Alamo street between Wanda Avenue and Jasmine Glen Avenue as units investigated the pedestrian accident.
