Bicycle Accident near Union Avenue Resulted in Fatality

MODESTO, CA (November 17, 2022) – Tuesday evening, a bicycle-vehicle collision on McHenry Avenue claimed the life of one person. 

The deadly crash happened just after 7:00 p.m., at an intersection near Union Avenue in Modesto. 

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, first responders declared the bicyclist dead at the scene. However, it was unclear whether the involved driver remained at the scene.

In the end, both directions of the roadway were temporarily closed down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
