Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Crash near North Avenue
FRESNO, CA (November 16, 2022) – Monday evening, a pedestrian accident on Elm Avenue claimed the life of a man.
The incident happened at around 6:00 p.m., near North Avenue in Fresno County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian stepped directly into the path of an oncoming vehicle while walking down the road. Responding units located the man with fatal injuries upon arrival.
Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. At this time, authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved.
Following preliminary duties, investigators said that the victim might have been distracted by a video on a cell phone.
