1 Killed in Fiery Crash on Pacific Coast Highway [Malibu, CA]
Solo-Vehicle Accident near Kanan Dume Road Left Driver Dead
MALIBU, CA (November 16, 2022) – Monday afternoon, a fiery crash on Pacific Coast Highway claimed the life of one person.
The incident happened on November 14th, at around 12:30 p.m., near Kanan Dume Road in the city of Malibu.
According to reports, the driver of a black Lexus was traveling at high speeds when it struck several markers in the center median before entering an intersection. There, the vehicle struck a pickup truck causing the truck to strike a motorcyclist. The Lexus then struck the side of an embankment, rolled over, and caught fire.
Emergency crews airlifted the driver to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. However, they were pronounced dead due to the extent of their condition.
Following the collision, officials closed all lanes along Pacific Coast Highway as crews performed cleanup and preliminary duties.
