Suspected DUI Collision near American Avenue Resulted in Fatality

FRESNO COUNTY, CA (November 8, 2022) – Saturday afternoon, a multi-car crash involving three vehicles on Elm Avenue left one person dead. 

The 3-car accident occurred just after 4:00 p.m., near American Avenue. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, a silver sedan traveling on Elm Avenue veered onto the oncoming traffic. As a result, the sedan then struck another vehicle.

Additionally, a third vehicle swerved to avoid the collision before veering into a ditch and leaving the driver with minor injuries. 

The second vehicle’s driver succumbed to their injuries after being transported to a local hospital. 

Meanwhile, officers apprehended the driver of the silver sedan and booked him in jail for DUI after receiving medical treatment.
