Rider Hospitalized after Hit-and-Run Accident near Landau Boulevard

CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (November 8, 2022) – Sunday morning, a hit-and-run crash on Vista Chino left a motorcyclist injured.

The collision happened on November 6th, around 11:40 a.m., just west of Landau Boulevard.

According to reports, a motorcyclist was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed and struck a van turning left into the Stater Bros shopping center. The van then continued into the parking lot and later fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.

Meanwhile, the motorcyclist suffered injuries and was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center. Crews say he is now in stable condition.

Any witnesses are encouraged to contact the authorities at 760-770-0300. No other information was released and further investigation is underway.

Motorcyclists rarely escape injury when an accident occurs. It is important to never underestimate the bike’s speed when you’re riding a motorcycle. Additionally, strictly follow traffic laws and the conditions of the road. For other drivers, do not tailgate a motorcyclist and maintain a safe following distance. Give motorcyclists a full traffic lane when you pass, as they too have equal rights on the road.
