1 Dead and 1 Injured After Traffic Accident on Olympic Boulevard near Taylor Avenue

MONTEBELLO, CA (November 2, 2022) – Sunday evening, a solo-car accident on Olympic Boulevard left one person dead and another person injured.

The incident occurred at around 7:40 p.m. along Olympic Boulevard and Taylor Avenue.

According to reports, a driver lost control of his vehicle for unknown reasons and crashed into a tree on the south sidewalk of the road.

First responders arrived at the site of the collision shortly after. There, medics declared the driver dead at the scene. His identity is currently being withheld until his next of kin was notified.

Meanwhile, paramedics took the unidentified passenger who sustained major injuries to a local hospital for treatment.

At this time, investigators are unsure as to what caused the driver to veer off the road. However, an active investigation remains ongoing. Montebello officials will update with further information as it becomes available.
