Head-On Collision near San Fernando Place Left Two Fatalities
MISSION BEACH, CA (November 2, 2022) – Saturday afternoon, a head-on accident on Mission Boulevard left two people dead.
The fatal collision happened around 3:09 p.m. at 2990 Mission Boulevard near San Fernando Place in San Diego, per initial reports.
According to the police, a Ford EcoSport going the wrong way crashed into a northbound Kia Sportage on Mission Boulevard.
Unfortunately, the 62-year-old male Ford driver and the 41-year-old male Kia driver were pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, responding medical crews transported two passengers from the Ford and three passengers from the Kia to area hospitals with various injuries.
The San Diego Police Department asked motorists to avoid the area as officers cleared the scene.
