62-Year-Old Man Killed in Two-Car Collision near Deer Springs Road
SAN MARCOS, CA (November 1, 2022) – Early Saturday morning, Antonio Mendoza was killed in a rear-end accident on Interstate 15.
The crash happened around 2:14 a.m., on the northbound lanes of the highway just south of Deer Springs Road.
According to reports, Mendoza was rear-ended in the area. The impact of the collision caused one of the vehicles to flip over and collide with the center median guardrail, ejecting the driver.
Officers arrived and pronounced 62-year-old Mendoza, of Valley Center dead at the scene.
At this time, no further information is available. However, an active investigation is still underway. Local authorities ask anyone who witnessed the fatal collision to reach them immediately.
