3 Killed in Fiery Wrong-Way Crash on 15 Freeway [Fontana, CA]
Three Pronounced Dead after Fiery Auto Collision near Sierra Avenue
FONTANA, CA (October 27, 2022) – Monday evening, a wrong-way crash on 15 Freeway claimed the lives of three people.
The collision happened around 11:40 p.m., just south of Sierra Avenue.
According to reports, the driver of a northbound vehicle veered into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.
Upon arrival, California Highway Patrol officers found a black Honda engulfed in flames with two occupants trapped inside. The other involved vehicle was a maroon Kia hatchback.
Emergency crews arrived and extricated the victims from the wreckage. Medics then pronounced two women and a man dead a the scene. At this time, authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved.
