Allan Thorpe Killed, Beth Thorpe Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Hatchery Road [Santa Rosa, CA]
1 Dead, 1 Hospitalized after Pedestrian Collision near Old Redwood Highway
SANTA ROSA, CA (October 26, 2022) – Sunday night, Allan Thorpe was killed and Beth Thorpe was hurt in a pedestrian accident on Hatchery Road.
The incident took place near the 5736 block of Old Redwood Highway around 7:56 p.m., on October 9th.
According to the CHP, two pedestrians were walking outside of a marked crosswalk in a dark area when a passing vehicle struck them.
Responding officers arrived and declared one of the pedestrians dead at the scene. Police identified the fatal victim as 73-year-old Allan Thorpe, of Sebastopol.
Meanwhile, medics rushed the other pedestrian, 66-year-old Beth Thorpe, with major injuries to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the involved Hyundai remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Following preliminary investigations, officials ruled out alcohol or drugs as a contributing factor in the incident.
At this time, police have no further information on the events leading to the crash. However, an active investigation is still currently underway.
