Pedestrian Struck in Fatal Accident while Crossing Interstate 280 near Wolfe Road
SAN JOSE, CA (October 19, 2022) – Friday night, a pedestrian accident on Interstate 280 claimed the life of a pedestrian.
The fatal incident happened at around 10:20 p.m. on the shoulder of Interstate 280.
According to the investigators, the pedestrian was running from the shoulder of the road across the highway when they were struck by a southbound 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe. As they lay on the road, the victim was struck again by a Toyota Corolla.
First responders arrived shortly after and declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. However, their identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
Both involved drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the police. A third driver was also reported to have hit the person lying in the roadway.
