CHP Officer Hospitalized after Auto Collision near Trautwein Road
RIVERSIDE, CA (October 17, 2022) – Friday morning, a California Highway Patrol officer was injured in a 2-car crash on Van Buren Boulevard.
The incident happened around 2:30 a.m., near Trautwein Road.
According to reports, the driver of a sedan was heading west on Van Buren Boulevard and made a left turn at a red light. There, the sedan drove directly into the path of an agency’s sport-utility vehicle.
Responding personnel transported an officer for minor-to-moderate injuries. The sedan driver was also transported to a nearby hospital as a precaution.
At this time, the identities of those involved in the crash have not been made public.
