Police Officer Strikes Pedestrian near El Segundo Boulevard

EL SEGUNDO, CA (October 13, 2022) – Friday night, one victim was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash on Pacific Coast Highway.

The incident happened on October 7th, just before 10:00 p.m., near El Segundo Boulevard. Per reports, a police officers struck a pedestrian in the area.

Emergency crews responded and found the pedestrian on the highway with severe injuries. Medics later pronounced him dead at the scene due to the extent of his injuries.

Initial investigations showed that the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk when the crash happened.

At this time, authorities have not released the identities of those involved. An active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
