Frank Garcia Killed, Juan Rocha-Ureno and Kimberly Newell Hurt in 2-Car Rollover Crash on Avenue J [Lancaster, CA]
1 Dead, Multiple Injured after Two-Car Accident near 140th Street
LANCASTER, CA (October 11, 2022) – Friday morning, a two-vehicle crash on Avenue J claimed the life of Frank Garcia.
The incident occurred around 7:05 a.m., near 140th Street East in Lancaster.
According to reports, Garcia was driving a 2004 Chevrolet west on J Avenue when he approached the intersection. There, the driver of a 2010 Nissan failed to yield at the two-way stop sign and struck the Chevrolet.
Upon impact, the Chevrolet overturned several times.
Emergency crews arrived and pronounced 31-year-old Garcia, dead at the scene. The Nissan driver, 42-year-old Kimberly Newell of Helendale, suffered from minor injuries.
Meanwhile, Garcia’s passenger Juan Rocha-Ureno of Apple Valley was transported to Antelope Valley Medical Center for major injuries. Another passenger of Garcia’s vehicle, identified as 24-year-old Salvador Garcia Jr., remained uninjured.
