44-Year-Old Bicyclist Fatally Struck by Vehicle near Cherry Street
SHAFTER, CA (September 22, 2022) – Early Monday morning, a bicycle accident on Highway 43 claimed the life of Francisco Saldivar.
The fatal collision happened around 2:05 a.m., just north of Cherry Street. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.
According to reports, the driver of a vehicle struck the bicyclist for reasons currently under investigation.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, responding officials declared 44-year-old Saldivar dead at the scene.
