47-Year-Old Man Arrested after Accident near Scottsdale Road
SCOTTSDALE, AZ (September 19, 2022) – Early Sunday morning, Spencer Stant was arrested following a hit-and-run DUI crash near McDowell Road.
The incident took place at the intersection near Scottsdale and McDowell Roads at around 12:30 a.m. on September 11th.
According to police, Stant crashed into two cars stopped at a red light, one of the vehicles was a police car with an officer inside.
In addition, the officer suffered minor injuries. Stant continued driving down on Scottsdale Road and an officer spotted him heading on Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway.
Following the earlier events, Stant slowed down and struck another vehicle on the off-ramp of U.S. 60, at Alma School Road, where his car was deemed inoperable.
Furthermore, police then arrested Stant with multiple charges including hit-and-run, DUI, reckless driving, and failure to stop for police.
Meanwhile, no other information was provided as further investigations are ongoing.
