Man Killed, Woman Injured in Solo-Car Crash on Greenfield Drive [El Cajon, CA]
Fatal Single-Vehicle Collision near North 3rd Street
EL CAJON, CA (September 16, 2022) – Early Monday morning, one man was killed and a woman was injured in a solo-car crash on Greenfield Drive.
Officers responded to scene just before 2:00 a.m., in the 1500 block of Greenfield Drive near North 3rd Street.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a vehicle lost control and crashed into a power pole before coming to rest against a brick wall.
Upon arrival, authorities located a 2020 black Chevrolet Silverado with two occupants inside suffering from serious injuries.
Medics transported the 45-year-old male passenger to Sharp Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Meanwhile, the 37-year-old female driver sustained significant injuries but is expected to survive.
