SANTA BARBARA, CA (September 12, 2022) – Monday, Mary Alice Brown was arrested after being involved in a pedestrian hit-and-run on North H Street.

The accident happened around 7:00 p.m. near the parking lot of 99 Cents Only Store on August 8th.

According to reports, a 51-year-old woman was walking in the area when Brown hit her and knocked her to the ground. Brown then ran over the pedestrian before fleeing the scene.

First responders arrived at the scene and took the victim, to a local hospital with injuries to her legs and chest. Police said the woman is in critical condition but expected to recover.
