43-Year-Old Woman, Dog Dead after Pedestrian Accident near Cris Avenue
ANAHEIM, CA (September 2, 2022) – Monday night, Jessica Jaynee Jenkins was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash on Euclid Street.
The incident took place around 9:25 p.m., near Cris Avenue. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.
According to reports, the 22-year-old male driver of a Dodge SUV struck Jenkins and her dog as she attempted to cross Euclid Street.
Paramedics arrived and transported 43-year-old Jenkins to a local trauma center where she later succumbed to her injuries. Her dog also died following the crash.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Dodge remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Although, officers have not released his name or place of residency.
Following preliminary duties, crews determined that alcohol or drugs were not potential factors. At this time, an active investigation into the fatal collision is still currently underway.
