One Killed in Bike vs Vehicle Accident on South Kern Avenue [Los Angeles, CA]
Pocket Bike Collides with Vehicle on South Kern Avenue and West Whittier Boulevard, One Dead
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 31, 2022) – Sunday night, police responded to a bicycle accident on South Kern Avenue that left one fatality.
The incident happened on August 28th at around 8:45 p.m. at the intersection involving a pocket bike and an unknown vehicle.
According to the CHP, one person was pronounced dead at the scene due to the extent of their injuries. However, the identity of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
Moreover, a portion of the roadway was temporarily closed down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
Furthermore, police have not released a description of the involved vehicle or its driver at this time.
No other information about the accident on South Kern Avenue has been released. An active investigation is currently underway.
