19-Year-Old Man Killed in Motorcycle vs Truck Collision near Central Avenue

PHOENIX, AZ (August 30, 2022) – Saturday night, Leonardo Rios-Aguilar was killed following a crash in the north Phoenix neighborhood.

The incident happened on August 27th at around 8:00 p.m. on Central Avenue and Bell Road involving a motorcyclist and a pickup truck.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the area and found the pickup truck turned on its side and a destroyed motorcycle.

Furthermore, 19-year-old Leonardo Rios-Aguilar died at the scene, while another person was taken to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.

Meanwhile, Bell Road between 3rd Avenue and 3rd Street were shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

An active investigation is currently underway.
