Car Accident near Avenue O Resulted in One Fatality, One Seriously Injured

ANTELOPE VALLEY, CA (August 24, 2022) – Monday afternoon, one person was pronounced dead following a head-on crash on 240th Street.

The fatal car collision occurred shortly before 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of 240th Street and Avenue O, east of Lake Los Angeles.

According to the investigators, one of the vehicles was going at least 100mph prior to the incident.

Unfortunately, responding authorities declared one person dead at the scene and transported another person to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

At this time, the California Highway Patrol is investigating the fatal head-on crash on 240th Street.
