38-Year-Old Rider Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Collision near Rameli Ranch Road
LAKE CASITAS, CA (August 22, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, police responded to a motorcycle crash that claimed the life of Nicholas Ryan Cooper.
The incident happened around 2:35 p.m., just west of Lake Casitas on August 16th.
Per reports, a 2012 Kawasaki Ninja operated by 38-year-old Cooper was heading east on the highway. For reasons unknown, Cooper crossed the solid double-yellow lines and crashed into a 2022 Mazda CX-9 SUV.
The Mazda was driven by a 30-year-old woman. Although, authorities have not yet released her name or place of residency.
Medics arrived and transported Cooper a chlorination plant along the highway where he was later airlifted to Ventura County Medial Center. Due to the extent of his condition, 38-year-old Cooper, of Santa Barbara later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV suffered only minor injuries. At this time, it is unknown if alcohol, speed or drugs played a part in the crash.
