Victim Hospitalized after Accident near Napa Auto Parts
RENO, NV (August 16, 2022) – Tuesday evening, one unidentified man sustained injuries after a hit-and-run on Bennie Lane, police said.
The incident happened around 9:30 p.m., in an apartment complex near Napa Auto Parts. According to reports, authorities responded to a call about a man trapped beneath an SUV.
Following preliminary investigations, police believed that the victim was the driver involved in a hit-and-run earlier that day. As he attempted to flee, the unidentified man reportedly forgot to put the SUV into park, causing the vehicle to run him over, pinning him underneath.
Eventually, emergency crews were able to extricate the man before transporting him to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Although, Police officers withheld the victim’s name pending notification of next of kin.
At this time, the further events leading up to the collision remain unknown. Once available, more information will be released.
