17-Year-Old Airlifted to Hospital after Being Struck on S Street
NEWMAN, CA (August 15, 2022) – Wednesday morning, a high school student was hospitalized after a pedestrian accident on Kern Street.
The incident around 7:50 a.m. near the intersection of Kern Street and S street.
According to the report, a driver did not stop at a posted stop sign and hit a 17-year-old in the crosswalk. The teen flew forward and hit his head on the windshield causing serious injuries.
Fire and police department personnel arrived at the scene and requested an air ambulance to transport the teen to an area hospital. The authorities have not disclosed the identity of the injured victim and the involved driver.
