Two People Hospitalized after DUI Collision on Main Street
LAS VEGAS, NV (August 15, 2022) – Tuesday morning, police arrested Luis Burciaga-Nunez after a pedestrian crash on Washington Avenue.
The incident happened at around 8:20 a.m. near the intersection of Washington Avenue and Main Street.
According to reports, Burciaga-Nunez, in a black Honda Civic, stuck a pedestrian near the intersection. The impact caused the pedestrian to wrap onto the hood of the car. Burciaga-Nunez then kept driving, carrying the man for about two miles before the vehicle and the pedestrian separated. The man was left lying in the eastbound lanes of the road.
Burciaga-Nunez then went on to strike three other vehicles, injuring another, before driving off. Police stopped him near the 300 block of Stanford Street and arrested him. He is facing charges including reckless driving, DUI, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, and disobeying officers.
Meanwhile, medics transported the pedestrian and the other injured person from the multi-vehicle crash to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
