6-Year-Old Survives Fatal Head-On Crash near Flagstaff

FLAGSTAFF, AZ (April 15, 2022) – Tuesday, Alexander Stone survived a collision that killed his family, Brian, Alison, and Oliver Stone.

Investigators say the Stone family was driving through Arizona on their way home to California after attending a family reunion in Colorado on July 26th.

For reasons unknown, their sedan crossed the center median before rolling and colliding head-on with an oncoming big-rig.

Medics arrived and pronounced Alexander’s 8-year-old brother Oliver, and both parents, Brian and Alison Stone dead at the scene. Meanwhile, crews transported 6-year-old Alexander to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Crews say it was a miracle that there was a surviving occupant inside the wrecked vehicle.

While Alexander was recovering in the hospital, an EMT went back to the site to retrieve a teddy bear called “Cookie” to the young boy for comfort. He had reportedly had the teddy bear since birth, and asked for it upon regaining consciousness.

Moreover, loved ones of the family have set up a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses.
