57-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Accident on Willow Road
SAN PABLO, CA (April 15, 2022) – Saturday morning, Anthony Greenwood was arrested after a bicycle crash on Church Lane that left one man dead.
Just before 4:00 a.m., police responded to the scene near Willow Road after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.
Per reports, Greenwood was driving a blue 2014 Honda Civic and struck the bicyclist for reasons unknown. Upon impact, Greenwood continued driving the wrong-way on San Pablo Avenue and struck a Cadillac head-on in the southbound lanes.
Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the 57-year-old male cyclist dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the Cadillac driver to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Following preliminary investigations, officers eventually arrested 23-year-old Greenwood, of Fairfield. He was charged with felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter, according to reports.
