Two Victims Dead after T-Bone Collision near San Diego Avenue
MENDOTA, CA (August 9, 2022) – Sunday night, a 2-car crash on California Avenue claimed the lives of Marquis Pratcher and Ali Shabazz.
The incident occurred just before midnight at the intersection of California and San Diego Avenue.
According to reports, a northbound vehicle on San Diego Avenue failed to stop at a posted stop sign. As a result, the front of the Nissan collided with the driver’s side of a westbound Caltrans truck on California Avenue.
When emergency personnel arrived, they found that both the drivers succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The victims were later identified as 25-year-old Pratcher, of Merced and 48-year-old Shabazz.
At this time, the fatal two-vehicle crash is being investigated by Mendota Officials and California Highway Patrol.
