Male Victim Hurt in Two-Vehicle Accident near Old River School Road

DOWNEY, CA (August 4, 2022) – Early Friday morning, one man was injured in a fiery car collision near Hondo Street.

The incident happened on July 22nd, at around 1:30 a.m., near the intersection of Hondo Street and Old River School Road. The crash involved a large sedan and a pickup-truck.

For reasons currently unknown, the sedan rear-ended the pickup truck, causing the sedan to burst into flames. First responders arrived shortly after and extricated the driver of the sedan from the wreck.

Paramedics then rushed the male victim to a local hospital for further treatment of his injuries. Authorities have not yet released his name or place of residency.
