Teen Killed in 3-Car Accident on Highway 63 [Visalia, CA]
14-Year-Old Boy Dead after Stolen Vehicle Collision near Marlin Avenue
VISALIA, CA (July 29, 2022) – Friday morning, a 14-year-old boy was pronounced dead following a 3-car accident on Highway 63.
The incident happened around 7:40 a.m., just north of Marlin Avenue. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
Per reports, a 15-year-old boy was driving a Chevrolet Silverado south on the highway when he drifted onto the west shoulder. There, the Chevy collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle, driven by a 27-year-old Visalia man.
Upon impact, both vehicles were sent in a westerly direction before crashing into a 2014 Kenworth semi-truck that was parked on the west shoulder of the highway.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, a 14-year-old passenger in the backseat of the Chevy was pronounced dead at the scene.
Medical personnel also transported three other victims to a nearby hospital for further treatment of severe injuries.
