Male Victim Pronounced Dead after Fatal Accident on Town Avenue
LOS ANGELES, CA (July 29, 2022) – Early Thursday morning, one man was pronounced dead following a hit-and-run on Vernon Avenue.
The crash occurred around 1:30 a.m., near the intersection of Town and East Vernon Avenue.
Investigators said a westbound vehicle on Vernon Avenue struck a pedestrian and left them lying on the roadway. In addition, another vehicle struck the victim for the second time. The second driver involved remained at the scene.
The coroner’s office later determined that the victim had been shot, starting an investigation by homicide personnel. Los Angeles Officials continued investigating the circumstances surrounding the Vernon Avenue hit-and-run crash.
