Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision near Acacia Avenue

SUTTER COUNTY, CA (July 29, 2022) – Tuesday morning, one victim was pronounced dead after a pedestrian accident on Highway 20.

Around 7:30 a.m., the incident took place on Highway 20 near Acacia Avenue on July 19th.

At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. However, reports indicate that a pedestrian was seen crossing the freeway before they were struck.

Authorities also did not release the identity of the deceased pedestrian until their next of kin are notified.

Emergency crews closed the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.
