Lyft Driver and Two Passengers Dead after Car Crash near Thunderbird Road
PHOENIX, AZ (July 25, 2022) – Friday morning, Terry Hill and his two passengers were fatally struck in a stolen car collision on 43rd Avenue.
Just before 2:00 a.m., a speeding vehicle was heading north on 43rd Avenue and slammed into a Lyft that was turning left onto Thunderbird Road.
The Lyft vehicle, driven by Hill, became engulfed in flames upon impact. All three occupants inside the Lyft died at the scene due to the extent of injuries sustained.
In addition, investigators determined that six people were inside the speeding vehicle that was stolen. They also sustained various injuries and have not yet been identified.
At this time, an active investigation to determine more information is still underway. Phoenix police will release further details once available.
