Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident on Highland Avenue
NATIONAL CITY, CA (July 25, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a male pedestrian was fatally struck in a deadly collision on 24th Street.
The incident occurred around 8:20 a.m., near Highland Avenue on July 6th.
Investigators say a Dodge Ram truck turned left onto 24th Street from Highland when the vehicle struck a man crossing the street. Medics arrived and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
Following preliminary duties, it was unclear who had the right of way at the time of the collision. In addition, police do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a factor.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is still underway. Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved.
