Traffic Collision on Highway 12 Left One Woman Injured

SOLANO COUNTY, CA (July 22, 2022) – Friday night, police arrested a woman after a carjacking on Rio Vista that injured another woman.

According to the authorities, a woman carjacked a silver Toyota RAV4. While circumstances around the carjacking remain unclear, reports state that the woman dragged another woman, the owner of the vehicle, for some distance on Rio Vista.

Authorities were alerted to the stolen vehicle, and sometime later tracked the RAV4 to near Esperson Court & Drouin Drive. In attempts to flee the scene, the suspect rammed into an officer’s car and drove off Highway 12. The impact of the reckless driving caused one of the stolen Toyota’s tires to pop. This resulted in the vehicle becoming stuck in a field near Highway 12, west of Highway 113.

After detaining the 32-year-old female suspect, authorities transported her to a local hospital for examination. Later, police booked her into Solano County Jail in Fairfield.

At this time, the condition of the Toyota’s owner remains unclear.
