Several Injured after DUI Crash near Brooke Road; 19-Year-Old Driver Arrested
FALLBROOK, CA (July 22, 2022) – Early Sunday morning, Luis Thomas was arrested after a DUI collision on Winter Haven Road.
The incident happened around 2:40 a.m., at the 1300 block of Winter Haven Road, on July 17th.
According to initial reports, Thomas lost control of his gray Toyota Tacoma and veered off the road, crashing into a house. Paramedics then rushed Thomas and his 20-year-old passenger to Palomar Medical Center with major injuries.
Meanwhile, two kids inside the house sustained minor injuries. Authorities transported them to Rady Children’s Hospital for further treatment.
At this time, officials have not released the names of the other victims involved in the crash. Additionally, police arrested 19-year-old Luis Thomas on felony charges tied to the incident, including a felony DUI.
California Highway Patrol are investigating the cause of the collision on Winter Haven Road.
