James Sturgill Dies in Motorcycle Crash on West Wetmore Road [Tucson, AZ]
50-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Traffic Collision on North Fairview Avenue
TUCSON, AZ (July 5, 2022) – A motorcycle crash on West Wetmore Road claimed the life of James Sturgill, Tuesday evening.
The accident happened on North Fairview Avenue and West Wetmore Road, on June 26th.
Furthermore, police said Sturgill was driving a 2014 Harley-Davidson FLHXS west of Wetmore Road.
Consequently, he struck a signal pole near the highway for reasons currently unknown.
Firefighters and emergency responders arrived to the scene and found Sturgill seriously hurt.
Eventually, medics transported the victim to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, police said that speed and impairment were both contributing factors in the collision. Further investigations are still underway.
