2 Hospitalized after Pedestrian Accident on Tropicana Avenue [Las Vegas, NV]

2 Injured in Pedestrian Crash near Ocean Drive

LAS VEGAS, NV (July 1, 2022) – An unidentified victim sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on Tropicana Avenue, Tuesday evening.

The incident happened at 6:40 p.m., near Ocean Drive and Las Vegas Boulevard.

As per reports, a 2002 Ford Expedition traveling east slowed as a man darted across Tropicana outside of a crosswalk. Consequently, a 2008 Ford E150 hit the Expedition which caused the Expedition to strike the pedestrian.

First responders arrived rushed the pedestrian in critical condition to UMC for treatment. Medics also took the driver of the E150 with minor injuries to UMC.

At this time, officials have no information about the driver of the Expedition. Moreover, authorities closed the area around Las Vegas Boulevard as clearing and preliminary duties took place.

State Troopers continue to investigate the collision and will release updates once available
