Traffic Accident on Avenue J-6 Left One Fatality

LANCASTER, CA (June 24, 2022) – A motorcycle crash on 10th Street West claimed the life of Anthony Herrera III, Friday evening.

The accident happened on 10th Street West and Avenue J-6 around 5:40 p.m., per initial reports.

Furthermore, police said that the rider was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on 10th Street West.

Meanwhile, a Chevrolet Cruze was also headed northbound on the same street near Avenue J-6 and stopped due to traffic.

Investigators said the motorcyclist attempted to avoid the stopped car but Herrera fell off his motorcycle. Consequently, it collided with the rear-end of the Chevy.

Unfortunately, the rider succumbed to their injuries despite the life-saving efforts of the paramedics. They were later identified as 31-year-old Herrera.

Meanwhile, the Chevy occupants escaped the incident uninjured. Lancaster Officials continue to investigate the fatal motorcycle crash at this time.
