Four-Vehicle Accident near Furtado Road Left Several Hurt, Two Dead

MERCED COUNTY, CA (June 23, 2022) – On Monday, a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 59 claimed the lives of two unidentified people.

The incident occurred at around 4:30 a.m. on Highway 59 near Furtado Road, according to Merced County Authorities.

Furthermore, the initial investigations revealed that a semi-truck veered into the lane of the three vehicles, causing a collision along the highway.

Eventually, emergency crews arrived and pronounced two unidentified individuals dead at the scene.

Moreover, several others sustained injuries from the crash and were hospitalized for further treatment.

Meanwhile, authorities shutdown both directions of the roadway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
