Imari Pritchett Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Loop 202 [Chandler, AZ]
23-Year-Old Pedestrian Fatally Struck near McClintock Drive
CHANDLER, AZ (June 22, 2022) – A pedestrian accident on Loop 202 killed 23-year-old Imari Pritchett, Monday morning.
Police responded to the scene near McClintock Drive around 1:00 a.m.
Investigators said that an off-duty Chandler police officer initially arrived after Pritchett’s car hit the right barrier wall near the eastbound on-ramp to Loop 202.
The woman exited her vehicle and attempted to cross the highway. Afterward, an oncoming driver struck Pritchett in the HOV lane.
The female pedestrian, 23-year-old Pritchett, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver fled the scene but was later taken into custody by Chandler Police. An active investigation into the crash is currently underway.
