Two Killed, One Injured in Motorcycle Collision near Myers Flat

HUMBOLDT, CA (June 20, 2022) – Monday, Andreu Batholic and Anne Anderson were killed in a motorcycle crash on Highway 101.

Police responded to the scene around 4:45 p.m., near Myers Flat. According to reports, the driver of a Toyota 4Runner crossed over the center divider into the southbound lanes.

There, the Toyota collided with the motorcycle. Due to the impact of the crash, medics pronounced the motorcyclist and the Toyota driver dead at the scene.

Investigators later identified the Toyota driver as 25-year-old Andreu Shawne Batholic. Additionally, officers identified the deceased motorcyclist as 42-year-old Anne Marie Anderson, of Vancouver Washington.

Afterward, paramedics transported the second motorcyclist who sustained moderate injuries to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Authorities later identified the victim as Caleb Marquez of Portland, Oregon.

Authorities closed both directions of Highway 101 temporarily to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
