Vehicle Accident on Friars Road Left One Fatality

MISSION VALLEY, CA (June 15, 2022) – Sunday evening, a fiery crash on Route 163 claimed the life of one person, authorities said.

Police responded to a report where two unidentified vehicles collided on the northbound Route 163 north of Friars Road around 10:17 p.m.

Furthermore, witnesses told police that one vehicle hit the other one into an embankment, before finally striking a storage building.

Meanwhile the building involved, Extra Space Storage at 1560 Frazee Road, was damaged due to the crash. Officials confirmed that one unidentified person was killed in the accident.

No further details regarding the fiery crash have been released to the public at this time; however, more information will be provided once made available.
