Tajz Wells Injured in DUI Collision on Sisk Road [Modesto, CA]

33-Year-Old Suspected of Hitting Police Officer near Whitcomb Way Identified

MODESTO, CA (June 13, 2022) – Monday night, 33-year-old Tajz Wells was injured after running a stop sign in a DUI collision on Sisk Road.

The incident occurred around 7:42 p.m., on June 6th. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

According to reports, Wells was driving a dark Nissan Versa when he failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection. There, he struck a Modesto police patrol vehicle.

Firefighters arrived and extricated Wells from the wreckage, after they found him pinned inside the Nissan. Paramedics transported Wells and the involved officer to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Following preliminary investigations, crews believe that Wells was under the influence at the time of the crash. As a result, officers plan on arresting him upon his release from the hospital.
