Tulare Hit-and-Run Driver Left One Man Dead, One Arrested
TULARE, CA (June 10, 2022) – A hit-and-run collision in Tulare claimed the life of 62-year-old Ruben Torres Monday evening.
According to the police, officers responded to the incident around 8:30 p.m. on J Street and Tulare Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Torres lying in the roadway with critical injuries. Eventually, paramedics transported him to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators determined that the victim attempted to cross the street outside the crosswalk before the collision occurred.
Ultimately, authorities managed to locate the involved driver who fled the scene after a witnesses gave officers a description of their vehicle.
Tulare Officials arrested Luciano Ruiz for felony hit-and-run and driving without a valid driver’s license.
