Passenger Killed in Car Crash on South Avenue [Fresno, CA]

Traffic Accident on Cherry Avenue Left One Fatality

FRESNO, CA (June 8, 2022) – On Monday, a car crash on South Avenue took the life of a passenger and injured several others, police said.

According to the report, officers responded to the incident around 5:00 p.m. in the area of South and Cherry Avenues.

Upon arrival, they located a wrecked car and pick-up truck with a passenger who was suffering from major injuries.

Unfortunately, the passenger succumbed to their injuries while the driver of the pickup and the three other occupants in the crash were transported to a local hospital.

The identities of those involved in the crash have not been released.

At this time, Fresno County officials are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the crash. Furthermore, an active investigation is currently ongoing.
