Bryan Tostado Arrested after Fatal Rear-End Crash on 91 Freeway [Long Beach, CA]

Traffic Collision on Susana Road Resulted in Fatality, Speeding Driver Arrested

LONG BEACH, CA (June 8, 2022) – Authorities arrested 25-year-old Bryan Tostado following a fatal rear-end crash on 91 Freeway Sunday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 1:10 a.m. in the eastbound lanes on 91 Freeway, west of Susana Road.

Furthermore, the investigators said Tostado sped along the No. 1 lane in a 2004 Toyota and struck the center divider before hitting the rear-end of a 2022 Freightliner.

As a result, the big-rig driver lost control of their vehicle and crashed off the roadway. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the truck driver dead at the scene due to the extent of their injuries.

At this time, authorities only identified the deceased victim as a 57-year-old Santa Ana resident.

Meanwhile, responders transported Tostado to Dignity Health St. Mary Medical center for treatment of minor injuries but he was later arrested.

Long Beach Officials continue to investigate the deadly rear-end crash.
